Accommodation and History:
Built in starting 400 years ago, the palace was converted into
Heritage hotel by the Samode family; it is a perfect example
of Rajput-Mughal architecture.
The Palace has 43 rooms including 15 deluxe suites and 3 royal
suites. All rooms have air-conditioning, heating, mini bars,
colour satellite TV and telephones with international dialing
facilities. All suites have a balcony or patio. The three
royal suites have LD and CD players, jacuzzi, fireplaces and
private courtyard.
Dining: The main dining room and terrace serves
traditional Rajasthani food as well as a mix of Asian and
European cuisine. Light snacks are served by the pool, while
an a-la-carte menu is available at the Central Courtyard.
There is also a bar and a library.
Other facilites: Outdoor swimming pool, a separate
wading pool for children, jacuzzi, fitness room, sauna and
steam room. An Ayurvedic massage centre operates from mid July
to mid May. Puppet and cultural shows are held every evening.
The Durbar Hall can accommodate upto 80 people for meeting and
conferences. Same day laundry, safety deposit boxes, travel
assistance, currency exchange and a gift shop are other
